diagnosis….not good?

I love caffeine. I’m not addicted to it, I choose to indulge. (now if that isn’t an admission waiting for a diagnosis?????) anyway, 99.9% of the time. I make it all on my own. Ground folgers darkest roast, is my preference.

A few months ago my mother-in-law gave me her espresso maker. So that was a natural step and I begin my day with a double shot of espresso. As you can tell from my blog, it’s early in the AM.

No candy coated cappucino. Just straight black liquid power. And once again, I have a personal prefernace of Starbucks GoldCoast roast. allgedly the strongest on the market.

Until yesterday when, for my once in a month treat I asked a guy at a little coffee hut for something strong with espresso and he offered up a depth charge….just the name…yeah, I liked that.

Even better? a depth charge is nothing more than a  double shot of espresso in a cup of coffee. That’s what I’m talking about. enjoy!

I say, as long as caffeine comes from a natural source, is legal, and remains relatively inexpensive, embrace it with verve!
I’ll have some good strong coffee in my cupholder as I head westward this morning for work. An excellent traveling companion, as I’m sure many would agree!

Love coffee and need my caffeine. Interesting note, espresso, because of the short contact time between the water and coffee, actually has less caffeine than regularly brewed coffee. It may be darker. It may be stronger tasting. But, the caffeine content is lower.

Man that’s EYE opening. Nice link..thank you. I guess from that 2oz of espresso is 1 cup of coffee. I’m generally on an empty stomach but my next step will be the DEPTH CHARGE. That will get my morning off on the right foot..and I thank you atilla. owe ya a cup of coffee. name the day. Sandy’s Donuts in West Fargo is the spot.
